John and Elizabeths chidren baptised John 1712, Edward 1716, Elizabeth 1724 and Stephen 1729. There may be a possibility that Stephen Blunden died and his widow remarried John Shoesmith. This would mean that Elizabeth bore children for 30 years, from 1699 until 1729. Not impossible but unlikely. The Elizabeth Blunden who married John Shoesmith could be Elizabeth Blunden baptised 6 May 1688 at Lamberhurst, daughter of William and Elizabeth.

In Mary's will, she appoints her good friends and neighbours, John Bowles, Thomas Tourt, Joseph Waggorn and Richard Day as executors and guardian of her children. To Elizabeth she bequeaths "my best feather bed whereon I lie with coverletts and pillows and all thereunto belonging to be delivered unto her when she shall attaine her age of one and twenty". Mary must have had property as she says "my mind is if my executors shall lend Isaac Lewis one bedd for his lodging in my house and ye use of ye slaughter house and stable and ye shoppe for twenty shillings a yeare so longe as hee shall remaine there and my executors shall have the power to dispose of the same". The children were to be placed with honest men for ye bringinge of them up and at the age of one and twenty yeares were to recieve their portions of their mother's estate.
